Castletown House is Ireland’s largest and earliest Palladian style house built in the 1720’s. Located in Celbridge Co. Kildare just off the M4 at exit 6 it is a fantastic place to visit with the family. You can read more about the history of it and further details of the grounds here.

We road tested a clockwise loop away from the house taking us one hour. A really enjoyable afternoon was had by all. Another recommendation from the WheelWays family & co. Go forth and explore!

Features include:

  • Loop walks
  • Free entry (fee for house tour)
  • Historical house and interest points
  • Parking – free
  • Coffee Shop & toilets
  • Variety of paths and trails on the grounds
